Frey's Brewing Company
JEEPS * SCENERY * CONTESTS * FOOD * BEER * RAFFLES * GIVEAWAYS * FUN * MORE!
Laura Johnson and Heather Wilhelm have been working together for over 10 years to raise money for St. Jude Children's Hospital. We both started our journey with St. Jude through Team WFRE - a group of people raising money for St Jude through the local radio station - WFRE.
Many people have asked us over the years - WHY? Why St. Jude? For Laura it was simple - she has three beautiful and healthy children. She feels blessed, and she believes that she has a responsibility to help those who are not as fortunate. The idea of having a child battling a debilitating disease and fighting for their life is unbearable.
Heather's story is similar - she also has two beautiful and healthy children. As a middle school science teacher, though, Heather had a student (Meghan) that battled leukemia one year. Unfortunately Meghan lost her battle, but not without a fight.
The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment.
Founder and entertainer Danny Thomas opened the doors to St. Jude in 1962 with the dream that “no child should die in the dawn of life." Unlike any other hospital, the majority of their funding comes from individual contributions. And thanks to generous donors, families never receive a bill from St. Jude.

Once you arrive at Frey’s there should be someone guiding you to the proper parking – just go down the hill to the field past the barn and BBQ area.
So we know this is a long day …. A fun day but a long one ….. you should arrive at Frey’s between 1:30 and 3 p.m. BBQ will be ready and delicious. The beer/cider will be flowing We will be announcing the Poker Chip winners around 4:30 p.m. We will announce the winners of the Jeep Contest (oh yea – there’s one of those too!) around 6 and the winners of all the other raffles around 7. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE PRESENT FOR ANY OF THE RAFFLES – WE WILL CONTACT YOU.
Yep – it sucks – big time! That being said, we can’t afford Frey’s getting shut down and we can’t afford the event being shut down. So, please bring a mask, and wear it while away from your Jeep – if you’re getting food, looking at other Jeeps, getting beer, etc. No need to wear it while your driving – that would be silly
We encourage you to bring a cooler with snacks, food, sodas, water, for the trip. Once you arrive at Frey's, BBQ will be provided and Frey's offers a variety of snacks. Food vendors will be onsite as well. Any outside alcohol is strictly prohibited at Frey’s Brewing Company, so please do not do this. Trust me, the beer and cider at Frey’s is off the hook! And we will have security guys walking around.
Due to the number of patrons for the event, BYO 00portable chairs
Pets are fine, but they must be leashed at all times and you must clean up after your animal. It’s just gross if you don’t.
At a few of the stops we encourage you to get out and explore, so be sure to wear appropriate footwear. Also, the first stop is a farm which has uneven landscape, so high heels are probably a bad idea.
There will be opportunity to purchase raffle tickets, 50/50 tickets, other food, t-shirts, etc. so we encourage you to bring cash as there isn’t an ATM on site. That being said, we do have the ability to take credit cards at some of the sites. But cash is always nice.
